Xbox can't see any wifi

I think my wifi card is buggered. It often disconnect me from my internet & I've lived at different houses & went through different ISPs. It gets to the point where I can connect to my controllers no problem but it can't see any network available including neighbours. Would getting a wifi adaptor help or would I need a whole new wifi card?

Restarting doesn't help, power cycling doesn't help, updating firmware on router doesn't help. Sometimes when I power off in offline mode then boot it back up helps for a few hours then it can't see

I'm just a bit agitated here. Questions welcomed.
