Series s, series x or Xbox x? I'm confused on what to buy

I have $300 I'm interested mainly in a Xbox for competitive cod. I'm leaning towards the series x console because it looks like it gets 30 more fps in mw3.
If I'm understanding research correctly the fps is about the same on a series x vs Xbox one x, but the only difference between the two is one supports 4k and the other doesn't?
I don't wanna blow an additional $200 on a console just for 4k.
