I've noticed some people playing Star Trucker and are struggling, here's my advice. I love my space/sim/boring games. I'm currently loving star trucker, I've really progressed far and each sector gets better and better, my advice is this. Start a new game and put custom difficulty. The only option you select is that battery/Cells/UCC/Air filters drainage set to the lowest. The game is so much better. I've had to constantly change cells/ucc/airfilters every stop/mission and it was so tedious and just not fun, barely any money to buy cells if the shop even had them. With custom settings it doesn't affect achievements or anything so it's great. I'm currently loving each new element they introduce the more you progress and i don't have to constantly worry about changing shit every 2 seconds. After a while you'll build up cells/ucc and you'll enjoy changing them. This game isn't easy and it's not supposed to be. I feel like people are jumping in thinking it's some arcade game, although it is but it's quite a simulator too. I'm getting pretty good at this game and love it so far. For any space game players, I'm rear admiral in elite dangerous with a fully G5 Corvette, it should give some understanding to my knowledge with these type of games. You just need to really focus and pay attention and just stop over thinking. Play the game normally and then start a new game on custom and change what you don't like. There's so many options to choose. Fly safe commanders and dont fly without rebuy o7
Even with everything set to the lowest drain/easiest setting it's still not fun. First job I got after the tutorial made by fly through open space and I was constantly bombarded by debris. Before you say I don't like games like this I liked delivering stuff in Death Stranding.

You can only set the difficulty at the start of a new game.
