Really going through it this week. I would rather not lie around all evening/night either staring at the ceiling or doom scrolling.
Would really appreciate some game suggestions. Thanks.
Edit: Wow. Thanks for all the suggestions, everybody.
As far as being active and social goes, that some people have commented about: weekends not included, I get anywhere from 20,000-30,000 steps a day at work and I’m around people constantly. I’m just going through a lot of burnout, grief and emptiness, making sure to fully feel the emotions when I can and to let them pass by when afforded to as well.
I know video games aren’t the ‘answer’ to depression as somebody said, but when I’m unable to sleep at night, occupying my mind is better than letting my thoughts drift to negative matters.
Much appreciation to everybody with the game suggestions. Means a lot.
Maybe doing something productive with your time would help you feel better. All positive emotion comes from progress towards a goal, so set one and work towards it.
My sons mother recently cheated and left me after 11 years, I also lost my job at the same time and I’ve done the whole doom scrolling & staring at the ceiling thing. Every time I tried to play a game I couldn’t get into it because I was so unhappy with my life.
It was only when I took what I was going through and turned it into something productive that I started to feel better. I started a brand on Instagram around motivational & relationship quotes and a couple months later I’m almost at 20k followers and I’m launching an online store around it. At times I get so absorbed by the potential for the future that I forget how dark the past is.
Whatever you do, don’t give up!.
