Is there really no way to disable cloud save syncing?

Playing Persona 5 on gamepass and basically every time I go to save I have to wait for an extra Gaming UI popup to sync save data with online, which often takes a while and is very annoying on its own - but today it got completely stuck trying to sync and when pressing cancel on the sync, the whole game was stuck and I had to force close it, losing the progress since I wasn't able to actually save without the successful sync.

This is my only device so I have zero need for the cloud saving, so is there really no way I can disable this "feature" and just use local saves without any annoying syncing?
