Mic on elite series controller not working

Hello. I have the Xbox elite series controller. The right bumper stopped working and when I removed the front plate to access the spot I needed to in order to fix it, I think I messed up the headphone jack with the tool I was using to pry the front plate off with. Now when I use my headset that worked before, I need to mess with it in order to hear, and my mic doesn't work. Is there something I can do to fix this?
