I've been mining for a while now and a few things about the app make me scratch my head still.
If this is about geospatial data, why is the app necessary to run open with a running GUI, as opposed to in a background process, or at the very least minimized? What is the value of my interaction with the app if all I'm doing is closing pop-up notifications and re-enabling "auto explore" whenever it turns itself off?
Why do geoclaim area gridlines move from week to week? My house is near a border...some weeks I'm in the purple, some weeks I'm several blocks away from the border...if it were based on lat/long, wouldn't the variance from week to week be imperceptible, and if the app geospatial data is driving it, shouldn't it get more precise over time??
The obvious advantage is for people who drive, so why doesn't the app have a hands-free mode? Or a mode that locks in the app settings, so if it freezes or crashes and relaunches, your previous settings are preserved (auto explore likes to disable itself periodically, and home base shield sometimes engages on its own)
What determines the value of a tile? And piggybacked on that, it seems more lucrative to spend more time driving, versus covering more miles, as even in pro mode or with sentinel there's still an amount of time required to clear a tile, at highway speed that means you might only be collecting every third or fourth tile. Is that right? I mean in the interest of processing more geospatial data, shouldn't those processes be optimized to run as quickly as possible? If so where are the bottlenecks?
Really debating the value of pro membership at this point, and want to make sure I'm not missing any obvious tweaks and optimizations. I prefer to run with as little interaction as possible since most of the time I'm running deliveries or commuting.
Thanks for any help!
