Now that it's winter I have some time to do some car work I've been putting off, and one of them is installing an inverter.
Few reasons I want to install/mount: 1. I do quite a bit of car camping, and would love to power some lights and charge my camera if needed. 2. I currently have a smaller cigarette lighter plug in one, but would like to mount it in the cargo area and have all of the wires tucked away and hidden. Mainly I'm just annoyed of packing/unpacking stuff, and this would limit one more thing to pack and cables to manage.
I'm thinking of mounting it above the wheel-well opposite of the cargo light. Also, I don't run anything huge, so am most likely just thinking a 500W and in the future installing a deep cycle battery.
Let me know what you think or if there's any insight!
