Hi all!
Just got back from a 2500 mile road trip through Death Valley and wanted to share some pics with you.
A few notes... I did most of the DVNP natural sites and passes, about 150 miles off road. It's a LOT of washboard. However, other than some trails I knew would be difficult, I did everything in 2wd. I got farther than I expected without using 4wd. It would have sucked a lot more without good suspension, and while it's not perfectly dialed in yet, the Dobinsons MRRs did great bombing down desert roads at 30-45 mph.
Other than facing about 200 miles of strong headwinds in Nevada and Oregon, fuel mileage with all the stuff on the roof and loaded with gear (we way over packed for a week of camping) was better than expected. Average 16.2, best tank 17.5 mpg.
