Anyone else share this opinion? This thought has occurred to me now because I am getting rid of my mini dresses because I feel like the clothing only exists for the male gaze. It doesn’t sit right with me principally as it does not align with my feminist values. The mini dresses are not functional at all and can be quite annoying when you do not want to flash people as bending over becomes tricky. Just think about the lack of pockets in women’s clothing. Like where are we meant to store things? Women’s clothing is all about aesthetics while men’s clothing is about functionality.
