Road Trippin' to New Orleans
Post Body

Through bibery, bickering and other means, Noel had finally convinced the staff of Avalon to take his old shortbus down onto the Institute grounds so he could actually drive it New Orleans. With the doors and windows all open to beat the heat, Noel could be found with his feet up on the dash, going over the journey again. He longed for a day when he didn't need massive paper maps, but this would have to do.

The Old Shortbus had been painted in a rainbow of colours, with some odd remarks of poetry here and there, some of which seemed to be from Dante. The front of the bus was typical- drivers seat, steps up. But a large curtain had been erected as a partition. Behind which stood a small kitchenette complete with a small fridge and stove top as well as classic diner-like seating around a table.

At the very back was a sofa that folded out into a bed barely raised above the floor. The floor, of course, was currently covered in blankets, cushions and other stuff that screamed 'Stoner'. Segmented in the back right corner was the toilet and shower, though Noel would suggest cleaning up at a motel or lake or some such.

Noel sighed, stretched himself out and got up from the drivers seat, awaiting his compatriots on this chaotic journey to New Orleans, dodging cities, toll booths, ferries and more along the way. A wonderful 30 hour journey.

It was gonna be cramped, but the best road trips often were.
