Hey guys, your friendly neighborhood mod here. I've got some stuff on my mind I think we need to talk about.

Server downtime sucks.

I get it guys. It really does blow. Not being able to play grinds my gears just as much as it grinds yours. But in recent weeks the majority of our posts and messages on Discord have only been

• "Is the server down?"
• "Can anyone else connect to ____ server?"
• "When will ___ server be back up?"

We will be removing these posts going forward.

Here's the deal. The developers have been meaning to tackle all of the netcode for XMage, but it is a very tough task and has not been started (to my knowledge). In the meantime, we don't need four different posts and three people on Discord asking if the server is down.

The .de server is run by the lead developer of XMage (who is in Germany) and is usually very difficult to get a hold of, but generally automatically resets itself once a day (7AM UTC Or 2AM EST 1AM CST 12AM MST 11PM PST).

/u/SeveNVapoR runs Vaporwave and does his best to reset the server when he's home and aware of it (since he runs it actually in his house).

In light of this, there are new servers popping up all the time. If you check the front page now, there's a new server too. You can also check our masterlist for other servers to play on.
