Anyone notice how once we fully enter the new duo (dogget and Reyes) the x files becomes much more dumbed down?

Instead of scully ranting about the actual scientific evidence that makes the xfiles unexplainable we have dogget saying "thats crazy!"

Instead of mulder connecting the intricate dots of his theories we have Reyes saying "I'm getting a feeling...it's a weird one!"

Addendum: case in point season 9 episode 13 conversation between Reyes and scully. Scully goes through a whole diatribe about the grand unifying theory, and Monica's response is "...um, possibly?" You can practically see her eyes glazing over once scully starts displaying her intellect
