The X Files Season 8 is always an exciting season for me to watch. I love the original first seasons, but for some reason I get a strong sense of nostalgia whenever this one comes around because of how invested I was at this point in the series back when it first aired (I was a pre-teen/teen lol)
I know there are many who donāt enjoy the series after Mulder leaves and thatās fair. But I always find season 8 rather refreshing even if there some weak conspiracies by the end of it. Itās still enjoyable and itās different. Itās dark as well. The darkest of the LA years. And John Doggett is an absolutely cool addition to the cast. Heās not Mulder or Scully. Heās an every man assigned to do a job and he has a lot of integrity. I like how he comes across as an antagonist and slowly builds not just Scullyās trust, but the viewersā as well.
What are some thoughts on Season 8? I have a lot more I could say about this season. I find it very underrated even if I find a most of the previous seasons ābetter.ā Iām always really invested and excited here.
