Hey y’all, LONG time X-Files fan here…
I’ve come up with a way to properly create a new x-files spin off, and would love to know what you think.
Here it goes…
The series is set at the same time as the original series.
The X-Files, turns out is a department bigger than just Mulder & Scully, and there are two other agents (new characters) that we never saw in the original series, who’s job it is to look over Mulder & Scully’s work.
They are very involved behind the scenes, they follow the same cases (and other ones) as M&S.
This way, it can bring new life and lore to old X-Files episodes, while at the same time; avoiding the modern issues that could come up setting a new X-Files series in the present day.
Additionally, this means the show is set with the same aesthetic as the 90’s series, making it somewhat a ‘period piece’ for modern viewers.
Think how ‘Better Call Saul’ enhanced ‘Breaking Bad’.
Thoughts?
