They say, never meet your heroes.
In Space, the agents are asked to investigate sabotage within the shuttle program, and this is where we meet Colonel Belt, the program commander and a childhood hero of Mulder’s. Unfortunately, the colonel is hiding a strange secret. As the episode progresses, Agent Mulder is both blinded by his adoration for the man and disappointed when he doesn’t live up to expectations.
This is probably one of my least favorite episodes of the series. The premise is interesting, but it's just not a strong entry. One thing it does do well is showing us why we should never place people on a pedestal, something we all tend to do.
Disturbing Moment: The face is a little creepy, but that’s pretty much it.
