What else can be said about the pilot? This is where it all began. The introduction of the series leads and their respective motivations was perfect. The presentation that Mulder is this kook that believes in "little green men" and shouldn't be taken seriously on one hand, while on the other hand, Scully being assigned to the X Files just to keep tabs on Mulder's work shows just what a threat he already is. And let's not forget the first appearance of The Cigarette Smoking Man.
I think this aspect is very appropriate for today in that so many "conspiracy theories" have been put forth in the last few years that have been labeled as silly, only to be proven true.
Overall, it was a great start to the series, and it sets things up quite well. Notice the first appearance of Mulder's love of sunflower seeds.
Disturbing moment: When the grave is exhumed and the body is not what was expected.
