Aim Assist when using controller on PC is too strong.

I'm not trying to stir the pot when it comes to the aim assist debate. My feedback is specifically regarding the aim assist you get on PC when you use a controller as I believe the Aim assist on consoles is possibly too weak.

I've been playing well in my games on MnK but my other MnK friend suggested we try controller as we didn't know whether aim assist was in the game or not. Oh my actual god. If you roughly aim at someone within 20-30ft it will snap to them and not let go. I've gotten multiple kills I wouldn't have if I was on MnK just from how aggressive the aim assist was. I never use controller other than for Rocket League so I'm probably 10 years out of practice on it and I still went positive in my games.

It made it ridiculously easy to track people when they are sprinting from left to right. I simply held down left trigger and it tracked them perfectly. Anything close range within 10ft and my gun wouldn't leave their body unless I overcorrected and broke the AA. Anything over 25ft and aim assist woudn't be as strong but I was using a red dot M4A1 the whole time so maybe with a marksman or sniper it would work again.

I was taking fights and getting dropped fast by people and only doing like 15-20 damage. I swapped to controller mid game and was dropping people just as fast as they were just dropping me.

Is there input based matchmaking? The game seems good but if there isn't, I don't see it lasting on PC against controller players with aim assist this strong.
