I've noticed that on this sub, there's a lot of people who've played and enjoyed Phoenix Point, and rightly so. BUT, I've NEVER seen anyone talk about this turn-based gem that I've grown to LOVE this past month or so ...
Phantom Doctrine. It's a cold war era setting, and the spying and infiltrating for missions, gathering intel, etc. (the strategic layer basically) is fresh, new, and quite engaging I must say.
I genuinely would LOVE to hear your turn-based game suggestions !! Currently, apart from XCOM2, I've got Phantom Doctrine, Phoenix Point, Jagged Alliance 3, Classified: France '44.
And, I've also lined up Phoenix Brigade, Lamplighter's League, Showgunners, and Hard West 2.
It's probably the ONLY time in my 2-decade gaming history, that literally ALL the games I've got are turn-based :P
(Apart from PUBG in the corner there :P)
