Hey, friends! I am hoping to find an 18 , detailed, literate, 3rd person writer over on Discord who would be interested in a (European) medieval romance plot! Before you read too far and get disappointed, let me tell you two things right away: I'm looking to play as a transmasc or straight forward cuntboy character (strong preference toward a cuntboy). With that, I'd love pregnancy to feature in these stories. If that is not your thing, thanks for clicking on this! Good luck in your search.
I also want to clarify I'm looking this to be historical rather than fantasy. I'm not interested in including wizards, orcs, goblins, etc. Just good, ole fashion, slice of life... just, you know, way older. That being said: You don't need an encyclopedic knowledge of medieval culture! OCs are gonna OC like only OCs can and I want us to build this world together. We can decide what works best for our characters and create a timeline uniquely our own.
Okay, with ALL OF THAT out of the way, let's look at the ideas shall we?
A FOREIGN ARRIVAL.
Per the terms of a political treaty cemented in marriage, the prince has been whisked hundreds of miles away from home to marry the future/King of a foreign land. With his fiancé disinterested in anything beyond their legal obligations & the cold shoulder being given by prominent members of the social hierarchy, the prince becomes increasingly isolated until sparking a 'friendship' with someone at court. (This could be anyone! A staff member, a nobleman, the King's son, anyone! Totally up to you who you'd like to play.)
SUMMER TOUR.
As the court of the King made the cross-country journey from the winter castle to a summer palace, the prince's caravan nearly a month early. Arriving at a seldom used, but still maintained, estate, the prince is mistaken for a member of the staff. Rather than pointing out their mistake, the prince uses the opportunity and is assigned a position working alongside your character. Does your character recognize him? How will they react to be lied to? How long will the charade last?
PRINCE'S FAVOR.
Encouraged by the political ambitions of his father, a low-ranking nobleman arrives at court with the sole purpose of seducing the prince and leeching things off of him (money, titles, land, etc.). Seeming to have gained the prince’s eye, the nobleman settles in for the long haul. Does your character only want the benefits of the prince? Does his mission turn to genuine affection? Could go a few different fun ways!
Well, there you have it! Those are all of my ideas. If you’re interested, please (for the love of God), message me with more than that. Tell me which one you liked, what ideas you have for your characters and anything else you want to throw in! Also, if you read this far, don’t be afraid to tell me your zodiac sign as a nice little codeword. Hope to hear from you!
