Unexpected Adventures
Sometimes the every day and the mundane take a turn for the awesome. Or the disastrous, I suppose it's all a matter of perspective.
Sometimes a trip to the grocery store ends in a robbery. And sometimes you end up the hero of the day, other times you get shot.
Sometimes you're struck by lightning and end up with superpowers. And sometimes you end up in a coma (the permanent kind, not the Flash kind).
Sometimes finding a bag of cocaine beside a dumpster on a rainy night ends with you selling that bag for a tidy profit. Other times you're pulled over at the next corner because you forgot to use your blinker and end up charged with possession and intent to distribute.
Sometimes a one-eyed stranger with crows following him around hands you a sword and sends off on a noble quest. And sometimes that one-eyed stranger is just baked out of his mind and the crows are following him around because he has cheese in his coat pocket. Oh and the sword, it's a murder weapon. Congrats, you're implicated.
Suffice to say, a normal day is a fragile thing.
So, what does my obnoxious rambling have to do with anything? Well, this week's theme is called "Unexpected Adventures." Take a day in the life and turn it into a call to adventure, or, you know, don't. Invert it, subvert it...do whatever makes you happy.
But wait! There's MORE!
Here's how Theme Thursday works:
- Don't submit stories here, this post is just the announcement
- Use the tag [TT] for prompts that match this week’s theme. Joke/troll prompts may be removed.
- Read the stories posted by our brilliant authors and tell them how awesome they are
Last week's theme was Adventures in Archaeology.
