Writing from a character's thoughts and perspective?

Post Body
I'm struggling shifting from an omnipresent narrator to writing a fictional story entirely from one characters thoughts and perspective. I've done either heavy academic writing and role-playing for the majority of my life writing.
Any advice or resources would be wonderful, thank you!
