Very creative and since lockdown and losing my job I have too much free time on my hands!
I'd love to co-write with someone as I find it easier/more fun than doing it alone.
Open-minded as to whether this is a novel or screenplay - I've tried my hand at both in the past. I'd say screenplays are more 'my thing' but happy to co-write a fiction novel too if the idea is exciting enough.
I'd like to approach it with someone right from the start so not really interested in jumping onto someone existing project and I don't have a solid idea for a story myself right now...
The genres I'm interested in writing are: Hitchcock/thriller types, drama, comedy or LGBT type love stories.
Some examples could be...
Comedy screenplay/novel - a Bridget Jones type story but with an LGBTQ spin. Perhaps from a guys point of view.
Screenplay Hitchcock/thriller - a murder mystery type plot: favs include Rear Window, Psycho, The Man Who Knew Too Much. Could develop a script from an existing short story (like Hitch would do from time to time: such as The Birds) or use a real-life story as an idea starter.
A Tarantino type screenplay - sassy characters, fun dialogue, weird structures, unique story-telling and concept.
As I say - I have no firm ideas in place the above are just some random thoughts as I type. If any of the above seems appealing then get in touch.
I'm male, 37 and based in the UK. Be good to collab with people aged 25 - 55.
Thanks!
