Hi all,
I've been training for about five months now in my hometown, and am loving it. It's something I've developed a passion for and want to increase my commitment to, going forward.
I was planning to take a trip to Canada and the States in the summer (COVID-permitting) and wondered about the possibility of training at schools over there as a guest. I've been invited to a few in the past (Mike Quackenbush extended an invitation after I attended a seminar of his) and have a few contacts who wrestle stateside.
Has anyone travelled and wrestled at the same time before? I love the idea of getting a taste of new styles, teaching methods, and getting as much experience as possible while seeing new places. But I'm not sure how this would work. I would obviously contact the schools I want to visit beforehand, but is it generally acceptable to join for one or two sessions as a guest? And is there usually a charge attached?
Also, what's the deal with visiting gyms when travelling to keep up an exercise regime?
