Hey all,
I've just started training at my local school after wanting to get into pro wrestling for a long, long time.
It's intimidating, but I'm really excited to be getting started!
I felt a bit embarrassed in/after my first class because I felt I was slower than some other students (who had some wrestling experience beforehand) picking up rolls, which were awkward for me to get my head around.
Any advice to combat this and keep grounded in your first few weeks of training? I'm so excited to be doing this but don't want to keep getting brought down by thinking everyone is learning faster than I am.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks brother, will try to keep in mind that it's not about being better than your classmates but being better than you were the week before!
Absolutely. One of the things that attracted me to wrestling is that there's always something new to learn and you can never rest easy even when you're performing at a high level. Great to hear most people are supportive.

Awesome, good luck with your journey! It's not easy being the new guy in a class with more experience than you, but showing up is half the battle sometimes. I think persevering and coming back the next week is often more important than doing everything 100% perfectly. All the best brother.
