For me.
There is no IWC. The C in doesn’t exist.
A real community listens, debates, evolves.
Forums push narratives. Step outside, and you’re shut down.
The real voice? The crowd in the arena. Always has been.
What’s your hot take? Or better yet, your deep cut?
The “IWC” is emotionally irrational and incredibly impatient. I’m in my late 30’s and grew up watching wrestling in the 90’s. My friends and I watched WWE, WCW, and ECW to a lesser extent, and there was absolutely no tribalism; we enjoyed all of it. I got back into wrestling about 5 years ago after growing out of it in high school and I find a lot of the “discourse” here and other social platforms to be insufferable. I’m a pretty patient person and like to see things play out, but I find that people complain about trivial things and often contradict themselves.
