JKU soft top leaking above both front doors.

through my research i think i've ran into people with similar leaks. the water is getting in directly above each persons shoulder and dripping right into the cab. it leaks the worst when i brake (which makes sense).
im thinking it makes sense that if i replace my door surrounds it would fix the problem... but i'm not sure if it would also have something to do with my top not fastening tight enough.
im trying to fix this with as little money as possible so not buying a new 1500 soft top would be great.
