First of all, a definition of Romantic Fantasy, or at least the one I'm using. Maybe I'm too influenced by how the Blue Rose RPG defines romfan as a genre, but I'm thinking series like Tamora Pierce's Tortall or Emelan, Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar, Jacqueline Carey's Terra d'Ange, Ellen Kushner's Riverside, Lois McMaster Bujold's Chalion or Sharing Knife, Robin McKinley's Damar, Kristen Britain's Green Rider, or Catharine Asaro's Lost Continent.
Anyways! Are there any fics out there that borrow the sorts of tropes displayed in these series or, gods forbid, actually have crossovers into these worlds? I grew up on this version of Romantic Fantasy so I just have to ask.
