So I've been wondering this for a while, and thought I would ask. They were introduced while I was taking a break from the game, and I just don't understand their purpose.

When you form a platoon, you get XP and Credit bonuses. But those bonuses don't apply to dynamic platoons. Also, it seems that 99% of them result in the people leaving right after the battle, so there is no like team working together involvement from battle to battle like in a real platoon.

I can see a purpose for missions, sometimes you have to be in a light and you need an arty for the mission, so that is one purpose, but it's very niche since.... who does those missions any more right?

So what is the main purpose of them?
