So, I finished today Ys viii. This is my first Ys game and it was AMAZING - but some parts in the ending felt a little... Out of nowhere. Maybe the main thing that I felt wierd about is Maia, that appears without any warning beside a little side quest and Hydra's monologue, solved a lot and was a little deus ex machina for me.

I wanted to ask - does Maia appear in other Ys games, and she is an important part of this world I don't really know? Or she isn't anywhere beside the ending of this game?

Edit: the scene of little paro is an amazing way to prepare us to Maia and her dreaming thing. To see it again and understand is really good. One or two more things like that would be amazing.
