When I first came to the game, I thought DD's were all about concealment. Got my Yugumo down to 5.5 and my Jutland down to 5.7. I was playing my Kitakaze at 6.1 but read a guide that recommended dropping CE.

I'm confused what gunboats do. Do they hunt other DD's or annoy CA's and BB's at distance? Kitakaze has good DPM but they're plenty of DD's I wouldn't want to see in a knife fight. i.e. Friesland, Mogador and even Fletcher

Right now I'm on Gnevny and having my doubts about the Russian line. 4 130mm guns with 5 sec. reload but terrible accuracy. The shells are extremely floaty and slow. I definitely have to adjust my aim compared to a boat like Akizuki.

I realize Gnevny is T6, so does it eventually get better? Also, recommendations on how to gunboat would be helpful. Thanks.

Upgraded to Minsk and reconfigured my captain and now this is fun! Won a knife fight against a Hatsuharu at half his HP.
