So I've been thinking about this for a while...
I think that a "Capture the Flag"-style mode could be fun. You would have 2 flag bases (one friendly and one enemy) with a neutral flag in the middle of the map in white. The premise is that the ship that is holding the flag has a special icon above them (telling the enemy the general direction of the flag-holding ship even if they are unspotted) and that the flag-holding ship needs to run the flag to a nearby enemy flag base not located at the enemy spawn (too easy to be killed). In order for the enemy to take the flag, they have to kill the flag-holding ship, and doing so drops the flag at that current location. If the flag isn't captured by the enemy in a certain time interval, it resets to the middle of the map. You could base the score on a certain number of captures total (or most captures during the battle period).
Any ideas about: improvements? limitations? other thoughts?
