Gearing worth it over Fletcher?

Recently unlocked the Gearing.

I have a 16 pt captain on my Fletcher, and the premium camo. I love the Fletcher, and I'm keeping it, just not sure it's worth the credit sink and the time training a captain. I do have the sims to help train the captain of the Gearing of i get it.

So what should I do,

  • Ignore the Gearing and save the credits.

  • buy the Gearing and retrain my Fletcher captain for the Gearing, then train a new captain for Fletcher.

  • buy the Gearing and train a new captain for it, leave Fletcher as is.

  • I don't really want to, but I could sell the Fletcher and retrain the captain on the Gearing.

I need to check but I do have an existing 11 point captain on my Sims.
