I have worked my way up to the Fletcher and am wondering if the Gearing is worth a focused grind to unlock it.

She's listed at the bottom of the T10 DD list for performance.

Dangerous in the right hands and requires planning and map awareness more so than I feel other DDs. Jack of all trades, master of none. A solid ambush predator but a fragile one. Not a gunboat, not a torpedo boat, but decent guns and torps.

The smoke gimmick is sadly nest nullified in most matches but can be handy all the same, especially when dropped for team mates to use.

Gearing is a utility boat, not a gunboat, not torp boat, not a multi role boat, but a utility boat.
