Hey y'all,

Despite being a full-time student among other things, I've been trying to get serious about storywriting and worldbuilding for Tahuum Itaqiin, a low fantasy, low magic, Earthlike continent bursting at the seams with diverse cultures and a rich history. The principle sub-regions I'm working on are the Haifatneh Sea (an inland sea inspired by North African and Near Eastern cultures) and Au-na-Lai (a multi-kingdom region largely inspired by Southeast Asia, with military and political dynamics somewhat like those of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 三國演義). This world is also (hopefully) noteworthy for featuring a system of sympathetic magic that has evolved alongside human biology and history.

While most of my writing is scattered among numerous Word docs, a new subreddit under construction, and no fewer than three different paper notebooks, I think this challenge will give me the kick in the rear I need to get it all properly organized on WorldAnvil and here on Reddit. I've even committed myself to a pledge for this challenge!

I have a decent amount of background in sociology, linguistics, cultural anthropology, and world history, so I hope to use what I've learned to develop a vibrant and immersive world with y'all. I'm looking forward to this!
