Reached MMI, what’s next? No lawyer, should I get one at this point?
Post Body

So I live in Colorado for starters. I was injured on my first day of work at a new job on June 29th 2021. I had a large (3 1/2” x 1/4”) splinter lodged in my leg which took 2 weeks and 3 surgeries to finally have it removed. This happened at a lumber yard. I was working for an employment agency for the first time so it has been a bit confusing from the get go. I was visiting with Workers comp doctor for the past 2 months weekly, until my last visit a week ago where he deemed me (MMI) and ready for work without restrictions. I was receiving weekly payments which amounted to 1,600 a month, for the last month and a half. So far I have not had any interruptions in indemnity payments but am afraid they will end soon. What comes next? When and am I even eligible for a settlement offer? I was said to have been injured with this title “ laceration with removal of foreign body”. I’m not 100% and know it’s not possible but at the same time my knee on injured leg is in pain ever since the injury. I mentioned it to the workers comp doctor and he refused to do an MRI and stated he was only authorized to check my injury as in the laceration wound and stitches and that was it. I’m scheduled to be x ray’d this week before they can do an MRI for whatever reason. Should I get a lawyer? Or do I even have a case worth it for anyone to help me with? I’ve tried earlier in my case and no one was wanting to take my case until I was further into it with more information. Thank you in advance
