Post Body
Hey all! I've been a lurker on here for awhile, but wanted your opinion. So today I had a talk with my boss regarding a promotion that I applied for. In the end I was told that the deciding factor was not socializing enough at work functions (which to be fair were on the clock) or just not attending. Apparently it was a competitive position and in his words they really had to "nitpick" as to who got the position because it was close. What's everyone's thoughts on using this as a metric?
