What gets me is that my dad didn’t even have a full high school education- just a GED, 3 years(?) with the marines, and got a job in 88 repairing subassemblies for helicopters. He made $16 an hour or an equivalent of ~$42 hour now.
I have 11 years of experience in my industry and a 4 year degree. I’m making the most I ever have at $30 an hour.
My dad with less experience and less education, made more money than I may ever see.
