Iām not afraid to make waves, and defend myself and it is fascinating to see the changes in office culture.
I was talking to an older boomer who was incredulous that I didnāt respond to work emails at home. Trying to lecture me about dedication and āproving my worth.ā I had to explain I am hourly, I donāt get paid to answer emails outside my working hours.
But Iāve been taken advantage of too many times by employers and I finally started putting my foot down because of it.
Iāve been fired from jobs because I wouldnāt bend over and grab my ankles and thatās fine by me.
