It was in a discussion about the strategy of growing the business, part of which is nailing down our marketing and communication plan. As soon as the words left my mouth I cringed inside and realized how insidious corporate cheerleading can be.
At least I'm in a position where I have the owner's ear. A couple of sentences later I put the bug in his ear about structuring the company as a co-op or with some kind of employee equity stake. I can't share more details for obvious reasons but hopefully y'all will understand where I'm at.
This shit is wild and discouraging, and I'm just trying to eat.
