Can i get fired for not having a doctors note?
Post Body

For context, Me and my wife ate some really bad stuff the night before i had work, i ended up calling 4 hours before (as per company policy) and they were able to get someone to cover me, but now i was almost threatened with “Next time you need to have a doctors note or i will have to write you up”. So just because i didnt spent a thousand dollars for a doctors note and some rx Tylenol i can get fired? Should I have taken picture of the pile of throw up? Would it be wrongful termination and does this not intrude on hippa privacy laws for work place environments. I really need this job atleast for a while longer to help build a savings and support my family so if i need to call off again what excuse should i give? Lots of questions lol but anything would help. Thank you!
