My coworker wants to swap shifts with me for tomorrow and after but I seriously love this shift as it gives me time the whole day to study plus it’s the only shift I can go out with my friends in it, but, I feel bad saying no because he’s always covering up for everyone but I just really need this shift this as I also have many friends to meet that I haven’t seen in a long time and need to study for my exams that are coming up in 10 days so what should I tell him in the nicest way possible?
Why do you feel compelled to explain yourself?
No means no. Period.
You don't owe anyone a explanation. This is people pleasing....why do you do this?
