The length it takes for people to time out

It's so frustrating seeing the 'You have reached the maximum amount of games that can be started' when literally over half the players haven't played in 3 days, with the max currently 11 days, and I've seen it up to 14 days.
Only way to start a new game means resigning to the ones not playing which counts as a loss, or just wait until they time-out, which kind of seems completely random.
