Elementor Failing to Preview or Edit Pages

I'm self-hosting wordpress on an EC2 instance. It's currently running php7.4 and nginx. No other plugins running as of right now. And PHP.ini is set to 128mb of memory usage.

Wordpress is installed with a compatible Elementor theme. But when trying to edit a page in elementor, it gives a generic "Can't edit this page with elementor."

I can create a page with elementor. but when I try to edit it, the elementor loading page, well, loads... then just stays their. no error messages or anything of the sort.

If someone can point me in the right direction as to what to look at to troubleshoot this issue, I would appreciate it.
