How can I edit the source code of my homepage?

Good morning WP community,
I am adding google search console to my website, and Google is telling me to add an HTML meta tag to my home page.
I'm able to view the source code on my two browsers which are Chrome, and Mozilla fire fox, however i'm not able to edit source code.
I am currently using a Macbook.
Can someone please tell me how to edit my homepage source code?
