Hello,
We are doing a project where we will need slabs of wood with live edges as tabletops. We live in Central America. Our carpenter can source the types of wood I've listed below, many of which seem like good options with beautiful finishes. Between them, pricing is similar and won't be the determining factor.
I have very little knowledge of wood.
Of these woods, which is considered the most desirable / valuable / exotic / rare?
Thank you in advance!
Chiricano (Humiriastrum Diguense)
Dragon Wood / Sura (Terminalia Oblonga)
Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Deglupta)
Gavilan / Carbonero / Fine Leaf Tree (Pentaclethra Macroloba)
Jatoba / Guapinol / Nanciton / Brazilian Cherry
Javillo (Hura Crepitans)
Monkey Pod / Cenizaro
Parota / Guanacaste
Pochote / Cedro Macho (Pochota Quinata)
Snakewood / Ojoche (Brosimum Alicastrum)
Tropical Almond Tree Wood / Almendrillo (Terminalia Catappa)
Wild Cashew Tree / Espave (Anacardium Excelsum)
