What is World Cup coverage like where you live (free vs paid)
Live in Australia and must say it's very disappointing - given home World Cup timed with a decent team that has one of the best players in the World - that most of the tournament isn't free. One free channel has a quarter of the matches (all Australian plus final and others), the streaming service with the rights shows another handful of games for free, but those are definitely smaller matchups (although I'm happy to watch - Zambia? Yes please!)
To me it's a crazy missed opportunity for a lot of young people to watch, particularly at a time of high cost of living where things like a streaming service are a luxury. I've heard counter arguments that the broadcast rights help to fund the development of the game but to me that pales in comparison to the benefit to reach and so many more.
So I'm curious what the offerings are like where you live?
