Norway's national broadcaster NRK published an article today outlining reports from within the Norwegian team that players are very dissatisfied with Riise's coaching methods. The article is obviously in Norwegian but feel to use Google Translate if you want to have a rough idea of what was written.

Here are a few things that stood out to me:
- Lack of match coaching
- Unclear messages
- Too quiet in the dressing room
- No back-up plan when plan A doesn't work
Also probably the most shocking part: 'Captain Maren Mjelde acknowledges that the players had to ask the coaches for feedback and suggestions for solutions during the World Cup's opening game.'
It is also mentioned that after Martin Sjögren’s departure following the Euro 2022 fiasco, key players were clear that they did not want NFF (Norwegian Football Federation) to recruit a successor from within their own ranks yet they did exactly that by promoting Hege Riise from the U19 head coach job to the senior A team job.
