I was reading the Wikipedia page about the Euro qualifiers a few days ago, make of it what you will in terms of credibility but it seems like the plan for the "qualifiers" is for them to be divided in leagues (League A, B, C etc.) like they will be for the Nations League.
It baffles me why they want to have the Nations League later this year with one format (ok, fair enough I guess although I've never been a fan of the Nations League with men's football) and then qualifiers with EXACTLY the same format as the Nations League starting in spring 2024. What's the point of having two formats twice within a few months span that are exactly the same? Why not have the Nations League and a regular Euro qualifying campaign without any leagues like the men have? League B teams won't be getting enough interesting games for them because they won't be able to play against the big teams from League A anymore unless they get promoted meaning everyone will play within their own concentrated strength bubble while almost never really venturing outside of it properly thus killing competitiveness, competition and the ability for smaller teams to test themselves properly against the best European teams. This is another catastrophic mess by UEFA...
