Combination birth control method, Junel + Nexplanon. Advice?

Post Body

Hello everyone,

So I have Dysmenorrhea, fibroids as well as other issues. It's been confirmed that I do not have Endometriosis. I'm starting to feeling like a lab rat because the doctor I'm seeing just throws stuff at me and keeps ..generalizing(?), my issues. Like, in one breathe she would acknowledge them but then say it's not too bad.

I was on the pill birth control for maybe 8 years, then tried Mirena. The Mirena made everything worse and actually fell out. Next I tried Nexplanon, which I've had in for almost a year now.

I got prescribed Junel to take in combination with having Nexplanon in (to combat my heavy bleeding, long cycles, fibroids, etc).

I'm a bit lost with how to proceed. I feel like I should just take the Nexplanon out and be on Junel instead. I feel like going back to the basics because it feels like at each appointment I'm getting more confusing and dismissive information.

I'm going to start looking for another doctor.

Any advice would be appreciated and have anyone else been on a combination birth control method?
